The documentation of the SOS Children's Village History (Archive) describes in a comprehensive development project the foundation and development of this world's largest private children's charity. From the roots to the present - exciting search for clues in a living, growing non-profit organization.

Tasks

  • Sifting through new and existing archive data
  • Documentation and archiving of data
  • Digitization of the inventory
  • Utilization of the accessed date by means of
    • Guided tours
    • Presentations
    • Exhibitions
    • Workshops
    • Publications
    • Online finding aid
  • Generation of new historical data (e.g. oral history)
  • Maintenance of the library of the Hermann Gmeiner Academy
